Career Development Special Event

A Panel Discussion Moderated by:
Anne-Maree Cantwell, MD, MBA, Venture Partner, Empactful Capital LLC; CEO and Founder, Digital Healthcare Advisors; Board Member, Mill Valley Library Foundation; and Advisory Board Member, WatchTAG

Research has shown that having gender-diverse boards is positively correlated with better financial and non-financial performance, contributing to overall company growth and Environmental, Social, and Governance (“ESG”) performance. Join us for this special event to hear from three highly successful Wharton women executives who have served on a variety of types of healthcare boards and learn from their experience as company directors. Topics to be addressed include, but will not be limited to:

  1. What it is really like to serve on a healthcare board
  2. Why you should consider board service and what it takes to get there
  3. Potential pitfalls to avoid when joining a board
  4. Key issues currently facing healthcare company boards
